29 February 2008AEG-Jeyco Partnership to Supply First Engineered Mooring Grid to Atlantic Canada
ST. ANDREWS, NB - Aquaculture Engineering Group Inc. (St. Andrews, NB) announced today that with its partner Jeyco Mooring & Rigging they will deliver all of the rigging required for an engineered mooring grid to be deployed in Atlantic Canada. The mooring grid is scheduled for deployment in Spring 2008.
All required rigging will be supplied by Jeyco including appropriately sized high performance Stingray anchors, Jeyco heavy duty thimbles and Akwaflex rope. The specific rigging was chosen following engineering analysis to calculate the anticipated loads based upon site-specific data supplied by the customer. The deployed grid will be insured by Jeyco for mooring failures as long as the proper inspection and maintenance schedule is maintained.
AEG serves as the distributor of Jeyco mooring equipment, including fully engineered mooring grids, in North America. Deployment of this grid joins more than 20 complete engineered mooring grids deployed by Jeyco globally. In total, more than 6,000 high performance Stingray anchors are now in use globally to moor aquaculture infrastructure.
