AEG Open Ocean Feeder
Open ocean aquaculture represents the final frontier and arguably the
greatest opportunity for global aquaculture operations. In addition
to the six previously listed benefits existing with all
AEG Feeders,
the
AEG Open Ocean Feeder provides the following additional benefits
for sites operating in more exposure:

Open Ocean Design - Barge design having all equal side
lengths to effectively confront oceanographic and storm conditions from all
directions and allow safe management of aquaculture operations in the open
ocean (i.e., square or multi-sided for large capacity feeders).

Versatility - Available feed storage capacity of 25, 50,
100, 200, and 400 metric tonnes to meet any feed management requirement
in the global aquaculture industry.

Stability - Low centre of gravity (at or below the water
surface regardless of feeder capacity and quantity of onboard feed) to
provide increased stability and worker safety in the conditions anticipated
in the open ocean.

Worker Safety and Comfort - Optional accommodations for
2-6 farm workers that can include air conditioning, separate bunkrooms
that sleeps two individuals each, common area with dining facility, galley
with appliances, shower/head facilities, waste water treatment, desalination
technology to provide 3,785 L (1000 US gallons) of water per day, and escape route hatch.
